How to Get Involved

Partnering for Success: Working Together for a Healthier Community

The Health Improvement Partnership of Maricopa County (HIPMC) is a collaborative effort between Maricopa County Department of Public Health and a diverse array of public and private organizations addressing priority health issues through the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).

As the fourth largest county in the United States with more than 3.8 million residents, we have a lot of ground to cover in impacting the health of our community! There are many strategic initiatives and programs already underway addressing similar health priorities. We would like to hear about these types of projects so that we can better reflect work being done more broadly and help identify opportunities for collaboration.

Whether your organization is large or small, health-related or not, the HIPMC brings together all those passionate about promoting health and wellness within their respective communities. The CHIP process provides a forum to share ideas and resources as well as to identify gaps and barriers to existing services. In addition to working alongside our community partners, MCDPH will provide:

  • Data Support & Resources
  • Access to Evidence-Based Policies & Programs
  • Determining Goals & Objectives
  • Strategic Coordination & Action Planning
  • Networking Opportunities
  • Evaluation (including survey reviews)
  • Marketing & Communication
  • Website administration of maricopahealthmatters.org
There is a space for everyone at the HIPMC, for every level of engagement. All interested in partners are encouraged to read the HIPMC Partner Organization Acknowledgement form. For questions, please contact Strategic Initiatives Coordinator Seth Fritsch at (602)372-0456 or [email protected]

Enhanced Engagement: Become a HIPMC Partner Champion!

Do you want to take your organization's participation to a higher level of engagement? Consider becoming a HIPMC Partner Champion. HIPMC Partner Champions are those organizations that have:
  • submitted a HIPMC Partner Acknowledgement Form; and
  • have identified organizational initiatives that are actively aligned with the CHIP Framework and Workplan
Technical support, including evaluation and measurement, will be provided to partners as needed by MCDPH. Aligned initiatives will be documented in the CHIP Framework and Workplan and updated on a quarterly basis by MCDPH.

Meet our HIPMC Champions! Highlights of partner contributions are included in sector initiative centers:

Healthcare
Worksites

Education
